Projecturf lets you customize the project management software’s interface according to specific projects, which makes navigation and management easier for managers, supervisors and users. Each project also comes with a discussion forum tailored to concerns, setbacks or successes users have had that affect the project. Additionally, automated emails are sent out when anyone makes a change to the project, so project managers and users can stay current on the project without logging into Projecturf.

Managing resources within the project management software is a simple matter of navigating icons and tabs. You can add human resources to your project simply by emailing your contacts; Projecturf adds them as a resource when they verify through email. Each resource can upload project-relevant documents and designs in Projecturf’s document and designs sections, respectively. You can track uploads by when they were added, who added them or by document type. Resources also have the option of using their timecards to track their hours, and calculate their wages based on hourly or salary pay.

Creating a new project within the project management program takes only as long as it takes to add a title and a few notes. Projecturf’s most unique feature is its design section. Created specifically for designers, this area of the project management software lets you upload and display logos, graphics, layouts and designs requisite to the development and completion of your projects. Calendars, milestones and tasks are all accessible by clicking the corresponding icon, as is updating them to keep your projects current. Once updated, milestones and tasks fit under two tabs—Upcoming and Completed. However, tasks and milestones are listed under separate icons, which create a separate task list unrelated to corresponding milestones.

One of Projecturf’s best features is the streamlined interface. Large icons line the top of the screen presenting you with the navigation, updating and resource links you need to keep your project current. When opening your project interface, the first things to come up are your project briefs, update announcements (since you were last logged in), and the tasks to be completed that day—all of which inform you of immediate concerns regarding your project. Project navigation is simple, as each interface icon leads to a corresponding area, which in turn is divided into two or three tabs for different needs.

From the website, an online demonstration gives you a step-by-step overview of the entire project management software. Within the program itself, FAQs answer general questions, email support answers specific questions, and forums and blogs open up discussions about aspects of project planning and management with other users. Projecturf runs on all recent Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
