Copper will work with Windows Vista, but you have to install PHP scripting and MySQL database software for the project management program to function properly.
Copper has no central collaboration point, which is a serious drawback with project management software. While a system that tracks pressing concerns is available, it doesn’t use the detail available in our #1–ranked program.
For project management software, Copper has a very easy-to-use document management program, including check–in and check–out capability. It also tracks documents using a clear version number.
Copper includes a springboard/dashboard system that gives a quick view of the overall progress of various tasks. You can easily see how each task is progressing, any comments about that task, and the proposed finish date for the task.
Some screens and tools aren’t connected very well within the project management software. For example, the Account Manager screen doesn’t link to projects; it only shows statistics.
Copper includes a very clean and easy–to–use navigation system as far as project management software goes. Unfortunately, part of the lack of clutter is due to a general lack of features.
Copper offers many support options ranging from email and phone support to online forums. But there is no convenient help button on each page of the project management software. Copper runs on all recent Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
